Hi all,

We need as many signatures as possible for a petition that will be lodged in the state parliament by the shadow minister for planning about this ridiculous possible expansion of the most recent UGB boundary around Sunbury. In short Hume council submissions clearly show all the land down to and beyond Diggers Rest is to be joined up with Taylors lakes. Visit growth areas web page to view all detail.

If you want a petion to sign let me know. ...

It has been two days since the mauling of the 4 year old girl by a dog in St Albans, but I just can't get over it. How on earth, in this country, in 2011, can a 4 year old girl be mauled TO DEATH by a dog while sitting on her mothers lap in the safety of her loungeroom watching TV. It is just beyond belief!!!!!

Some ingrate $%^&* needed his ego supplemented with an aggressive dog, and this is what has happened. If my unsafe driving resulted in the death of a person I would be on ...

Are there too many Fast Food chains in Sunbury?

I go to the more affluent (higher education. incomes) areas of melbourne (hawthorn, brighton etc) for work a fair bit, and these Fast Food chains are almost non existent there. But in Sunbury there are 4 on every street corner... Is this a reflection of our community? Is it a 'class' thing'? I can't help but wonder. ...

A reality TV show is on SBS Tomorrow night where a group of Australians do a reverse journey. Given that "Boat People" continually take up such a big part of our political debate, this is a much watch for everyone.

Compassion and human empathy has been void from public debate on this topic for a long time. Hopefully this series might bring it back.

It is on at 8.30 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night. I'm really keen to hear what people in Sunbury think of this issue. ...
